As per the report of American Heart Association, Cardiovascular disease is the leading global cause of death, killing over 17.3 million people in worldwide and 375,000 Americans. A number that is expected to grow to more than 23.6 million by 2030. Among them, 48 percent are young women and 46 percentage are young men who are considered obese. Until recently the relationship between obesity and heart disease was viewed as indirect. Insights of obesity and Cardiovascular Disease session focus to deliver the knowledge about coronary heart disease risk including hypertension; dyslipidemia particularly decreases in HDL cholesterol and impaired glucose tolerance or non–insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
